| NEWS 5/1/08 I found out today that I got tenure - the day after I turned in my letter of resignation (see previous news item). But I'm always looking for a reason to celebrate. 4/30/08 I am pleased to announce that I have accepted a position at Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio. I'm planning to move with my family over the summer. I'll miss the wonderful faculty and students I've had the good fortune of knowing at Marshall University, but I'm extremely excited about the opportunity at CSU. I'm looking foward to a great panel for Fiction, In Fact: Directions in Contemporary Photography at the 2008 Southeastern College Art Conference (SECAC) in New Orleans in September. Presenters include Marni Shindelman, Michael Sherwin, Rocky Horton, and Jay Gould. 1/24/08 Call for participation! I'm looking for photographic artists who are working in innovative ways to present. Click here for details. 12/3/07 Work in Buswater, group exhibition at1520 Kanawha Blvd in Charleston. More info. 10/11/07 My teaching site has moved here. 10/7/07 Work featured in a statewide West Virginia art and design faculty exhibition at Charleston City Hall. The exhibition was organized as part of SECAC's annual conference. A reception will be held Sat, Oct 20 from 6pm - 8:30pm. 8/9/07 Work to be published in Robert Hirsch's forthcoming photography textbook Light and Lens, published by Focal Press (Elsevier) in October. 5/1/07 I got a promotion. I will return to classes in the fall as an Associate Professor. Thanks to everyone who supported me. 4/24/07 I will have seven pieces in Storage Space - a group exhibition exploring buried histories, real and imagined - at SPACES in Cleveland, OH. The show is up from June 22 through August 3. 3/8/07 I will have three photographs in Exhibition 280 at the Huntington Museum of Art. The exhibition opens in April and runs through July. Best of all, I'll be sharing the space with some of my students who were also selected to exhibit. 3/3/07 Video work will be featured in Kill Your Timid Notion, an international festival of experimental music, film and visual art in Dundee, Scotland. The event is produced by Arika and will take place April 12 - 15 at Dundee Contemporary Arts. I'm in Film Programme 1: In & Out.
